The Pelletier Family
 Freddie, Sheila, Clint and Oscar

The Pelletier Family’s musical story began decades ago when a teenage Freddie decided to hit the road to play guitar professionally.  He spent some time as a solo artist and played guitar for many artists, most notably, fiddler Al Cherney and singer/songwriter, Ian Tyson.

Freddie and Sheila married in the 90’s and have performed as a guitar/singing duo for over 30 years.  They operated the Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp in the summer at their acreage near Birch Hills, SK for 12 years and performed in the sunny southern USA in RV and golf resorts each winter for 20 years. At home they perform in a concert style setting across western Canada for any occasion you can think of.

Clint grew up learning from his Dad, played in the family show as a teenager then relocated to Edmonton, Alberta to study jazz guitar at Grant MacEwan.  He toured the world with violin based, modern worldbeat ensemble, Barrage. He formed the gypsy jazz group, Hot Club Edmonton, that won a Western Canadian Music Award.  Clint owned a successful music school in Edmonton before relocating to northern British Columbia where he devotes his time to his son, Oscar.

As a toddler Oscar was curious about his Dad’s guitar passion so Clinton started teaching him guitar, piano and fiddle.  A child prodigy, he played his first solo show (with Dad’s accompaniment) at the East Coast Kitchen Party festival at the David Thompson Resort in Alberta in 2022  at age 5!

Showcasing three generations of musicians, this family knows how to put on a great show!
